Questions and answers:

  1. Before you came to Brookes what did you study and where?
  2. Before I came to Brookes I was doing the equivalent of A-levels in a town near Munich in Germany.

  3. What made you choose Brookes as a place to study?
  4. The main reason I chose Brookes as a place to study was because I had visited a couple of other Universities around England and loved the city of Oxford straight away. Compared to other universities I had looked at I really liked Brookes (the Gipsy Lane Campus) because it is in walking distance of town. Another reason I chose Brookes was because it is known as the best new university and has a high ranking for my course.

  5. What do you think of the course now you're here?
  6. Before I started the course I went on a campus tour. My guide was a third year interior architecture student and he was so enthusiastic about the course it made me want to start straight away. Even though it is a lot of work and we always have a lot to do, it is definitely worth it. As the course is very small, we are all friends and we often work in groups which is fun. On our field trips to Berlin and Rome we had a great time exploring the architecture of the cities and enjoying different cultures.

  7. What are your plans for when you've completed your course, for work or further study?
  8. I am hoping to get a job in an architects company at home in Munich when I have completed the course. I am looking forward to working for an Interior Architect and getting some work experience this summer. I can’t wait to find out what it is like in the "real world" of an architect.

  9. What are the best aspects of studying at Brookes?
  10. At Brookes there are just so many new things to experience. I don’t even have enough time to do everything I would like to. There are so many activities you can try, different sports clubs, the SU or explore the Oxford area, you will never be bored.

  11. What advice do you have for others?
  12. Come to Brookes and enjoy student life in Oxford!!
