Professor Rajat Gupta guest-edited a special issue of the refereed journal International Journal of Low-Carbon Technologies (published by the Oxford University Press in the UK ) on the theme Sustainable energy technologies and low carbon buildings: the case of UK and India (September 2009). The special issue brings together selected evidence-based research papers from the UK-India Young Scientists Networking Conference on Sustainable energy technologies and low carbon buildings for climate change mitigation convened in New Delhi (India) from 6-8 February 2008 by British Council Delhi, Oxford Brookes University and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. The aim of this special edition is not just to map the advanced research taking place in the field of sustainable energy and low carbon buildings in UK and India, but to also explore their structure, underlying assumptions and their limitations.
