Biography: Ronnie studied BA at Leeds School of Architecture (Leeds Polytechnic), Diploma in Architecture and RIBA Part 3 at Polytechnic of Central London (Westminster), and PCTHE at Oxford Brookes University.

Practice: Since 2000, he as tutored in Oxford Brookes University, becoming a full time member of staff in 2004. His roles include tutor and module leader for design, technology, and digital culture, BA admissions tutor, and subject leader in technology and later design in RIBA Certificate (Part 1) and Diploma (Part 2). He is now Programme Director in the RIBA Examinations in Architecture for Office-based Candidates.

Ronnie worked in architectural practice for 20 years including periods at Fitch and Co, Fitzroy Robinson, and Farrell’s as well as being a sole practitioner. Projects included fashion retail, restaurants, master planning, office design, and transport.

Research interests: Research interests include live school of architecture projects (TRADA competition), the relationship between academia and practice, on-line delivery of architecture programmes, the image of architecture, the deregulated design studio, the modern architectural ruin, and the transient studio (Ibiza).
