  1. Before you came to Brookes what did you study and where?
  2. Before I came to Brookes I undertook a year-long art foundation course at the University of the Arts, London. Before entering higher education I completed my A-levels in Cambridge studying Design Technology, Maths and Economics.

  3. What made you choose Brookes as a place to study?
  4. The School of Architecture at Oxford Brookes is highly reputable and is ranked top 5 by the Architect’s Journal. I decided to continue my Part 2 in Architecture at Oxford Brookes because of the course structure which allows you to choose a specialisation for one of the two years. I chose to specialise in International Architectural Regeneration and Development.

  5. What do you think of the course while you were here?
  6. The course has been very rewarding, especially during the specialisation year. I have been able to tailor a final portfolio with a range of project work which demonstrates the knowledge I have gained from the course, as well as my interests within the field of architecture.

  7. What are the best bits of studying at Brookes?
  8. One of the best aspects of studying Architecture at Brookes is the studio environment. Computer facilities equipped with a variety of 2D and 3D software are made available to students from all design units and levels of study. With a great diversity of students, all with the same commitment to architecture, the studio environments provides a platform for you to learn from each other, as well as from the tutors.

  9. What advice do you have for others?
  10. Choosing a course you are passionate about and excited to wake up to everyday helps you stay focused. If you enjoy what you study, there are no limits to what you can accomplish.

  11. What are your plans for when you've completed your programme, for work or further study?
  12. Now that I have completed the Graduate Diploma in Architecture I am continuing my studies at Brookes having enrolled on the Masters in International Architectural Regeneration and Development. I will be applying for Part 2 architectural assistant jobs once I have completed my studies, in order to gain the experienced required for Part 3 – the full ‘architect’ qualification.
